Christmas Day

11 degrees outside so hit the mountain bike for the 12 mile Yattendon loop. Aching  a bit afterwards - got off bike very slowly but a good ride. Didn't take HR monitor but probably hit around 160 on bitch hill. All good and a good week.

Phase 3

After a very serious health scare will now get back on track after losing my way for a couple months. Have hit the spin bike four times in the last 7 days plus two yoga sessions - lets get real. Weather quite warm so lets shoot for an outdoor ride this weekend with a spin on Friday. Have currently slipped back to notch 3 on belt and 40" jeans and trousers - lets get back to 38" and notch 4 by end of January.

Phase 2

Having done 10 weeks with the trainer we have now had a two week break. The 10 weeks was very disciplined with a strict diet and supervised resistance sessions 3 times per week. The hardest part was the travelling - 20 miles each way in the rush hour - horrendous. May need to change how we do it.
End result is now down to 86Kg and have lost 4" from waist, so two notches on belt and 38" jeans are comfortable.
Trainer has been on holiday so used last two weeks to ease back - loosened up the diet and had a rest from exercise apart from the odd swim. Now time to get going again. So let's log it.
Today up at 7.30am. Feeling bright and weather looking promising.
5pm - First session on bike trainer - Cardio Coach #3. Forgot HR strap. Good workout.

Testing and measurements

Two hours with trainer - measured and stretched. Will keep up the biking and swimming prior to the real start of the programme next week. Already kicked the diet coke out. Starting weight 94.3Kg!

Start again

Hit the bike for an hour on Monday , then 50 lengths of the pool today - we're off!

Meeting with trainer 7am in the morning - ready, set, go!
